For the third straight visit, I’ve scored a table with a plug so I’m enjoying coffee, phone charging and free wifi. I took a few pictures to show you what snow before Halloween looks like, not as pretty stuff as posted earlier.

No telling when we’ll get power back. Fortunately I have a few friends who are on natural gas so I’m hoping to wash my hair with hot water tomorrow. That will be fun. Some poor people are moving in to the house kitty corner across the street from me. I hope they get their bed set up before dark. I think it’ll be a cold night on the floor for them. I met them on my way to the cafe. They seemed very nice. What a day to move in though. The mailman told us that the Springfield area is much worse than we are and he said, we were pretty bad in our town. Great. Schools are closed until at least Thursday. In the past 2 months we’ve had an earthquake, a hurricane and now a Halloween snowstorm. We never had this much action before Charlie and Margaret moved here. Interesting. Hope all is well with my readers. The cats and I are coping and keeping each other warm so don’t worry about us.
That looks pretty bad especially if you extrapolate the mess to include most trees in the area.
Gunther found a guy to clean up for a fair price and the guy was working when I left for my shower this morning. I will chip in since some of what he is clearing is in my yard. In/around the town center there are a lot of old, large trees split apart. It is dangerous and sad. Fortunately, I haven’t seen many limbs or branches on homes and overall very little damage like that. It is mostly downed power lines, and that is bad enough.
Hey Sue. Thanks for the update and photos. We have been wondering how badly your area was hit. Sorry to see the tree damage but glad the cats are fine and that you have not lost your sense of humor or adventure. That would be a sad day indeed. xoxoxo Cindy
You know me; I’m a crack up. Current estimate is that I may have power Sunday. I may be cracking up in other ways by then. It was 48 deg. in the house when I got up this morning. Brisk.
